Our mission is to empower and inspire pregnant and parenting students to graduate from Churchill High School.


This program exists to help these students identify, pursue, and achieve their academic and personal goals.


Childcare:  6 weeks – 3 years

Serves: Churchill High School Students (mothers/fathers, pregnant/parenting)


Student Expectations:

  1. BulletEngage in and attend all scheduled classes

  2. BulletComplete all assignments

  3. BulletPartner with Teen Parent Staff to advocate for the best interests of child


The Churchill Teen Parent Program offers a comprehensive educational structure―within a traditional high school setting―for pregnant and parenting high school students.


The Program Includes:

  1. BulletA full range of classes

  2. BulletA Teen Parent Seminar designed to meet the unique needs of teenage parents

  3. BulletOngoing child development classes, implementing a “hands-on” approach for parents with their children

  4. BulletA full range of social services, including academic and individualized counseling, an on-site health center, and cooperative networking with community-based teen parent organizations

  5. BulletOn-site, state-certified childcare for children during school hours

  6. BulletOn-site mentoring and support for improving child development and parenting skills

  7. BulletEducational field trips for students and their children


Our Goals:

  1. BulletEncourage and support students toward academic success and graduation from Churchill High School

  2. BulletEducate students to make responsible decisions regarding the health and development of their child

  3. BulletProvide on-site, state-certified childcare while students attend Churchill High School

  4. BulletProvide information and resources about sexual safety and second pregnancy prevention

  5. BulletCollaborate with community agencies, programs, and providers

  6. BulletMaintain staff competence and professional growth

  7. BulletEducate high school/district staff and members of the community about the role and vitality of the CHS Teen Parent Program


No cost to students enrolled in Churchill High School.  Childcare is paid by DHS or an ODE Block Grant, and is based on attendance.
