Special Red Day

Churchill’s Theatre’s Musical “Children of Eden” performs tonight and Saturday night.  Students get a dollar off by purchasing a ticket in advance.  A member of the company will be at a table by the cafeteria selling tickets at lunch today through Friday.

Career Center:
Today is the deadline for Juniors to register for the June 2nd SAT test.  All Juniors considering a 4 year college should take the SAT or ACT this spring.  The ACT test is given on June 9th with a registration deadline of May 4th.

Leadership:
Prom is coming!! Tickets go on sale at lunch at the planters next Tuesday. (May 1st).  They are $25.00 with an ASB card and $30.00 without.  If you plan on bringing someone who is not a student at Churchill, Please pick up a guest pass from the front office.

Powder Puff:
Junior and Senior boys who would like to participate in powder puff, we are looking for some fun and outgoing cheerleaders.  Come to a lunch meeting today in the Activity office to hear more.

APISU:
Come to the Disorient film festival on April, 27th, 28th, and 29th to see some of the most amazing Asian American movies.  Check out posters on the wall to find out specific times on which showing you would want to see. Times and places are on the yellow posters in classrooms and the IHS hall.

Churchill High School wants to thank, Regal Entertainment Group. Regal Cinemas at Valley River has donated 700 seats from their former theater site to be installed in our auditorium this summer. Look for some beautiful, new-to-us seats this fall.

Regular Blue Day

Career Center:
Immediately following the Senior meeting on Thursday, The U of O will visit the Career Center to see admitted Seniors.  This meeting answers a lot of questions about Freshman Interest Groups and registration.

Career Center:
At 7:00pm, on Thursday, there is the Community Service Faire.  This is a great opportunity for all students to learn about community service. Organizations set up tables and students can walk the room and gather information.

Career Center:

Seniors: VERY IMPORTANT!!  Sign-ups for walking partners and graduation seating will begin on May 8th.  NO SENIOR will be able to sign up if LEAP packets, Junior and Senior projects and Community Service are not complete.  This gives seniors another 3 weeks to complete these graduation requirements.

Students:  Are you looking for a way to earn Community Service hours and also have it be a meaningful experience?  The Teen Advocacy Council for My School’s Health Centers is accepting applications for next year’s council.  Stop by your school’s health center today to get more information and pick up an application.  You won’t regret it, it’s a great opportunity.

Mr. Lancer:
Congratulations to Brandon Morse our “Mr. Lancer” 2007. Also congratulations to the other 7 guys for putting on a great show.

Students who took the free Practice SAT on April 7th will receive their scores tonight at 7:00pm in the Library.  Kaplan will return the scores and provide a Free 1 hour workshop on test taking techniques and strategies.  Students who would like to benefit from this free workshop but did not take the practice test may also attend.

Harry Potter Club:
The Harry Potter Club meets on Wednesday in the Library at lunch.  All are welcome.
