Donate a document camera

document camera in classroom  Churchill science teachers asked the Eugene Education Fund for 6 document cameras this fall but this request was not funded.  A former CHS family donated funds to buy one document camera which can be seen in the photo.  Document cameras are different from overhead projectors.  They are an actual camera that shows whatever is put under it up on the screen at the front of the room.  As school staffing is cut and there are more students per teacher they help communicate with everyone.  They are really helpful in science or art classes.   The teacher can demonstrate to the class how to do a particular step in a procedure without having everyone crowd around a table.

Now our science teachers are asking Churchill families to donate money to buy the remaining five document cameras.  This should count as a charitable donation (but ask your accountant).  They cost about $330 each.  A check with "science document camera" in the memo line can be given to our finance clerk, Janette.  She will give a receipt.

As school budgets keep getting cut our teachers are trying to do more with less.  We need to help them be successful.
